Course Materials Order & Information Terms
This site was designed so that you may order your course materials or get course material information for classes taught by Southeast Tech. Course materials are delivered to home or available for pickup at the store. We do not reserve or hold books for pickup at the store due to space limitations.
- Be aware that the site will be updated daily as we receive new orders from faculty and shipments from publishers. Please note that because course material information can change at any time (faculty changes, publisher upgrades, cancelled classes, etc.) we are not responsible for information used on this site for the purchase of books from other locations. Students purchasing materials on this site are protected under the Bookstore's Returns Policies.
- Web orders require 2-3 business days to process. We'll do our best to process your order within 1 business day. Please note that during "rush" (the first week of each semester) additional time may be needed. Temporary "out of stock" may also affect processing time.
- Used Versus New: When selecting the type of book that you want, please note that if you select "Used" when buying your textbooks, we may substitute for new if we run out of the used. In this situation, this will mean that you will be paying the new price rather than the used price for your books. The increase will be reflected on your final sales receipt.
- Digital Titles: Some titles have optional digital eBooks. When you purchase those titles an email with instructions will be sent to you. Follow the instructions and redeem all digital items on the Vitalsource website called "Bookshelf". Do not try to redeem access codes on publisher websites until you have first redeemed the code on the Vitalsource website. You must set up an account with Vitalsource to access any digital purchased from us or Vitalsource.
- UPS Shipments: Orders for items that are in stock take 2-3 business days to process. They should arrive at your home within 2 business days of date of shipment if you live in the state of South Dakota or adjacent state.
- When you click the "place your order" button, we'll send you an e-mail message acknowledging receipt of your order. Your contract to purchase an item will not be complete until we send you an e-mail notifying you that the item has been processed. Your credit card will not be charged until the order is processed.
- You will be required to create an account when you place your first order. We will not sell or give your information to other parties that are not directly related to filling your order or unless required to do so by law.
- Excess Financial Aid Charging will be available only during the allowable period prior to each semester. Check the website for available dates. Only those who have excess financial aid will be allowed to charge up to their available balance.
- Online Order Cancellations: Once an online order is processed and completed you cannot cancel the order. You will be permitted to return the books under our returns policy, but shipping will not be refunded.
- Once you have finished shopping, please proceed to the shopping basket to complete the transaction. If the website has not given you a transaction number, the transaction is not complete.
